Ethnicity: Japanese
Height: somewhere between 5'0 and 5'3 fuck it, it's 5'1. Short.
Weight: NOT MUCH
Build: skinny but very squishy
Hair: black, kept in a short bowlcut, VERY TIDY/NO COWLICKS (this is his Defining Tell Apart from his brothers)
Eyes: brown and beady - his irises are smaller than average (the other tell apart)
Clothing: Lots of button ups (even when he wears a hoodie), lots of green, lots of plaid patterns. He does NOT have his signature green hoodie in Ryslig (yet) because he wasn't wearing it when he arrived and yet I draw him in it anyway... Fond of sweaters/vests. Because his clothes DO NOT change with him when he transforms, a lot of clothes during the day look baggy or ill fitting on him, as they are bigger to accommodate for his night form. Also tends to usually wear belts and suspenders because of this (these are usually taken off/loosened at night). When working he usually rolls his sleeves up and wears a half apron.
Scars: his torso is covered in these from the November 2016 event, ESPECIALLY his back. His face is mostly free but only because he wasn't part of the blob. "mostly" in case I change my mind
Other Defining Traits: In his own words, his mouth looks like へ. Unless he's smiling. Then it's an upside down へ. Or a triangle. What I'm getting at here is he has a stupid triangle mouth most of the time. Even if your character won't notice it, he will still acknowledge it and likely refer to it as such. (It's also why all his emotes on the network have V mouths)
Daytime Monster Traits: furry black bear ears (higher on his head than human ears) and sharpened upper fangs.

Bold indicates part of a mandatory change


Immediate Changes

  • Nightly transformations and transformation fatigue. This is already causing him to become more nocturnal, as he's having a very hard time sleeping at night and getting up in the morning.
  • Coarse, thick, black fur on arms, shoulders, upper back and collar bone. Resembles the black pattern pandas have around their front legs. At this point it feels more like a young panda's fur than a full grown one's (so it's a little softer than it will be later).
    ...As an additional note, all of his fur actually starts out white. That includes what's already grown; he was just too distracted at the time to notice the fur until it was already black (because let me tell you, after everything he heard about changes, painless fur growth was not exactly what he was expecting).
  • Sharp upper canines. They're a little hard to notice, especially since they have yet to elongate fully, but they definitely look like fangs. Right now they are only present when transformed.
  • Sharpened Senses. Currently, he only has them in his transformed state. His day form still has a human's eyesight, sense of smell, hearing, etc. This is ALSO not helping with the nocturnal thing because the heightened senses combined with an old ass house and five other people in the same room make it even harder to sleep at night, versus the day where he finds it easier. (Eventually, once he has them during the day he'll be used to it. RIP in peace your sleep schedule though, Choromatsu.)
  • Weakness to silver. He hasn't discovered this for himself yet though (and he's not about to risk a test to find out).


Gradual Changes

  • Larger size when transformed. He grows a little more each night; by the end of the month it will be a noticeable height difference (about a foot or so). He will be his full, final size by the end of his mandatory changes.
  • More fur. With each transformation he has more than he did the night before, starting with the rest of his back. Most of what's growing right now is staying white.
  • Elongated upper fangs. They grow a little more each night.
  • Increased strength when transformed. He doesn't have much control over it yet and it just keeps getting stronger, so expect a bunch of stupid shenanigans.
  • Territorial instincts. His "territory" is the Matsuno house, obviously. Right now he's just a little suspect of people who come into the house and aren't a Matsuno but given so far that's only been Ingway and Ingway tried to EAT HIM it's not really all that out of the ordinary.
  • Psychological Change: "Mother bear" like protectiveness. This one's very, very gradual. It's over his family, obviously, because I may as well take this "mombro" joke with me to the grave. It's not a whole lot of anything right now but in the future it'll be a lot more primal and uh. Yeah let's hope no one ever tries to attack another Matsuno in front of him because it won't be pretty.


Notes

  • For now his day form remains mostly the same as when he was a human.
  • He can still pass for human at night so long as he covers up adequately. This will not last long, but he will take advantage of it for as long as he can.

Immediate Changes

  • Bear-like furred ears. They are black in colour and higher on his head than his human ears were. These are present in his day form as well.
  • Sharp lower canines. Coming in just like the upper ones. They will not be visible in his day form.


Gradual Changes

  • Elongated lower fangs. Just like the upper ones.


Notes

  • Upper fangs have finished elongating.
  • He can no longer pass as human with his day form, as he not only has his ears but his upper fangs are more present too.
  • He has his heightened senses all the time now, not just when transformed. His brothers also each have a specific scent to him (or rather he's had time to now identify each scent) and he thinks that's really fucking weird.
  • Fully nocturnal now.
  • Were form height by the end of the month be around 6 feet.
  • Fur covers his hands.

Immediate Changes

  • Bear-like face. This includes a bear-like snout, fur all over his face, and panda markings around his eyes.
  • Yellow eyes. Only when transformed for now. Until I change my mind.
  • Claws on his hands Large and black. Not present in day form.
  • Travel form. He can transform into a full giant panda now but hasn't discovered it.
  • Emotional transformations. Also hasn't been discovered yet. Needs to get pissed off enough.


Gradual Changes

  • Increased awareness of surroundings. He can kinda get a vague sense for when the fog is coming and some plant knowledge is starting to come to him. He's especially sensitive to WINTER IS COMING which leads toooooooooooooooooooooooo...
  • Psychological change: instinctual urge to hibernate. As winter gets closer he will want to eat a little more than usual (this backfired against him pretty bad with the candy lmao) though it's not too noticeable at first (he's not stuffing his face or anything but he is helping himself to seconds and snacks more). By the time December comes around he'll be sluggish, groggy and want to sleep constantly. His tendency to be a light sleeper will also... not be a thing, so good fucking luck waking him. THERE'S A GOOD CHANCE HE WILL TRY AND MAKE A DEN FOR HIMSELF OUT OF BLANKETS OR SOME BULLSHIT.

  • End of the month he is now at his full were height: 7'10"

  • He has discovered his travel form.
